Speak Up for the Next Generation — Protect Chinese Weekend Schools

To safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese weekend schools in the Netherlands, ensure that Chinese children and adolescents across the Netherlands continue to have the right to learn the Chinese language, and support their healthy growth in a multicultural environment, the Federation of Chinese Dutch Organizations and the Chinese Education Association of the Netherlands have held two meetings. Participants included Chinese community groups, representatives of the overseas Chinese community, members of Dutch political parties, the Non-formal Education Alliance, and legal representatives. They tly discussed how to respond to the Supervision of Non-formal Education Bill, which is scheduled to be submitted to parliament in January 2025.

It was decided at the meetings that for the inheritance of Chinese culture and the future of the next generation, we will launch a petition signature campaign and unite with all members of the Non-formal Education Alliance to tly repeal this bill!

We sincerely call on everyone to actively participate in the online signature campaign. The steps are as follows:
